Beware, the Public Enemy No 1

March 16, 2012

FMT LETTER: From Iskandar Dzulkarnain, via e-mail

The article, 'Anwar's clownish rants' in the NST yesterday, has reinforced my perception that this man is truly public enemy No 1, and shouldn't be let loose on the streets any longer.

Yes, it's true, how can a man with a bad back and wears a sympathetic neck-brace gets to jet around the world, badmouthing our country? How does he manage to hold together, a loose rag-tag Opposition coalition called the Pakatan Rakyat with such a bad back?

While PAS struts around with their 'serban' style turbans and green suits portraying a 'holier than thou' attitude, DAP looks more like Chinese 'cat loving' cowboys trying to implement a CAT administration everywhere.

Their leaders must be as dubious as him, badmouthing the administration locally while Anwar with his political verbiage overseas. Anwar even told the Deccan Herald last week that the country had a sham democracy.

"The situation in Burma is better than Malaysia because Burmese opposition politician Aung San Suu Kyi has better access to media than any of the opposition leaders in Malaysia…," he had said. What cheek!

Don't let his demure looks fool us, for this guy is a menace to society and has many enemies waiting to bury him for good. Mind my bluntness! His reputation precedes him, and while the whole world thinks highly of him, our government doesn't seem to think so.

This rascal of a politician has the knack to wrangle himself in and out of sticky situations like Houdini. Many years back he even managed to install himself as the Deputy Prime Minister, before Tun Mahathir saw through him and had him culled before he could inflict any more damage to the country and its people.

Just imagine, if he had got his hands on the premiership after Mahathir's stint, this country would probably be full of Jews like the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Michael Douglas, Jane Seymour, George Soros, Elizabeth Taylor and Wolfowitz.

Yes, this man wears many hats, hides behind many masks and not only does he portrays himself as a saviour of this nation, he has a deep conviction that this country needs to return to a full democracy before it goes bankrupt
.
Tagged as a religious fanatic at one time and reappeared later looking and acting like a World class politician, this man has no end to his surprises. Always having something up his sleeve, you won't see him rolling up his sleeve like woman Minister Sharizat Jalil.

No one would dare debate with him, as he has this uncanny way of picking them off like vultures, eating up his opponents. He also has this magical air about him, spellbinding the crowd with his mesmerising speeches. Is it a wonder that his enemies are genuinely petrified of him?

Like any politician worth his salt, he has been ISA'ed, incarcerated, socked in the eye and interrogated. Now that he is up and running again, his enemies are having sleepless nights, wallowing in despair, terrified of their future and praying for a miracle.

Some people become paranoid at the sight of him and one can sense the underlying desperation as more and more lame charges are brought against him. Today, everyone seems to have a bone to pick with him. Even journalists and politicians too!

Like the 'Orang Minyak' a slicky man dressed in a coat of black oil, Anwar Ibrahim is so slippery that the minute you managed to grab him, the next minute he's disappeared into thin air. Such is his reputation, that today he still walks the country a free man, even though tonnes of police reports are piling up gathering dust all over the country made against him for his gross misbehaviour.

See the way he wangles himself out of a sticky situation in the Sodomy 2 trial, even though his DNA was allegedly stuck inside a hole? Even the Sex Video controversy won't stick and turned into a big farce with Malaysians starting to get turned on unnecessarily by his wild uninhibited sexual trysts.

And even with all the bad press, his hands are clean and some say he's 'incorruptible' as all his enemies have run out of corruption charges to pin on him. There were high suspicions of him being an Israeli mole, a spy for the United States and a double agent for the USSR, but these allegations were never proven.

And today with a blanket ban on news coverage from the main stream media towards him, he still manages to wangle a way to get himself into prime time television and news media, his pictures splashed in most of the tabloids making him easily the most recognisable man in the country today.

And with so much press coverage on his misbehaviour, people are starting to accept him as a celebrity instead of the man he truly is. And should his picture appear anywhere during the next General Election, it would be disastrous if everyone rushes out to vote for him and his coalition.

His boring political rhetoric of a one nation, one people, and one democracy under Pakatan Rakyat does not auger well with the current political climate, our constitutional monarchy or the Barisan Nasional way of life. So let's not rock the boat, ignore this man and continue supporting the BN dream.

And, please be very careful of this man. Don't let him into your house and don't listen to what he says. In fact if you see him on TV, change the channels. If you come across news of him in the newspaper, skip the page. Too much of him, will cause many of us to be tempted and to fall under his spell, which would spell doom to the BN dream. .

Ask those who were once close to him; Ezam Mohd Nor, Ibrahim Ali, Saiful B., Zahrain, Zulkifli Noordin and lately Zaid Ibrahim and they will tell you the horror stories about Anwar that will make you pee in your pants. No wonder so many frogs jumped in time, before they could become frog-leg delicatessen.

Unwittingly, he is holding the future of this nation in the palm of his hand, and not only the Opposition coalition who is dependent on him to lead the way, but the future of a shaky BN looks bleak with him in the way.

So, other than badmouthing the current administration, Anwar spends time writing ridiculous articles about 'Arab Spring' even though its still winter in the Arab world. Between him and our premier Najib, I would hedge my bets on the latter, as unlike Anwar, Najib was never ever caught with his pants down.

Bukti-bukti Ekonomi Negara Semakin Kukuh Berkembang Di Bawah DS Najib

Malaysia's Economy Attains 7th Position

Malaysia's Economic Performance ranking improved to 7th place out of 59 economies this year compared with 12th position in 2007. It was acknowledged in the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2011 Report released by the Institute for Management Development (IMD) recently.

In the ranking for Economic Performance, Malaysia was headed of Taiwan, Sweden, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

The IMD survey continued to rank Malaysia as among the top 5 most competitive nations in the Asia-Pacific region for the second year, taking 6th position in the 20 million population category and 2nd position after Taiwan in the GDP per capita less than US$20,000 category.

Malaysia was ranked 16th overall in terms of competitiveness among 59 economies, compared with 10th place in 2010.

ATTRACTIVE DESTINATION FOR FDI

Malaysia is now the world's 10th most attractive destination for foreign direct investment FDI according to global management consultant A.T. Kearney jumping 11 spots from 2010.

Kearney's FDI Confidence Index ranks the 25 most attractive destinations for FDI based on collated data from senior executives of the worlds leading companies in 17 sectors from 27 countries.

The report notes that inflows to Malaysia grew by over five times from 2009 to 27.9 billion ringgit in 2010.

And this figure will likely be surpassed this year.

The report says investors' growing appetite towards developing countries are not due to their lower cost labour but more for its large and rapidly growing consumer market.

Other Asean countries also saw a major upswing in sentiment this year as investors, wary of the eurozone debt crisis, slow recovery in the US and unrest in the Middle East, focus their attention on emerging markets.

Higher earnings from homestay scheme

THE revenue from the homestay programme increased by 26.78% to RM15.7mil last year, said Deputy Tourism Minister Datuk Dr James Dawos Mamit.

Tourist participation in the programme also increased by 29.8% to 254,981 people.

"The homestay programme, created in 1995 to promote eco-tourism, has proven to be a huge income earner," he told Datuk Md Sirat Abu (BN – Bukit Katil).

The deputy minister said in terms of tourist arrivals, the programme saw an increase of 21.6% – from 161,561 tourists in 2009 to 196,472 in 2010.

"However, the programme needs some improvement as the main complaints are the lack of public infrastructure in the rural areas. We will provide the funds to improve them," he added.

Meanwhile, the Financial Reporting (Amendment) Bill 2012, which seeks to enable the Financial Reporting Foundation to oversee the functions of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board, was tabled for first reading in the House.

The Bill, which was tabled by Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin, seeks to make the foundation more inclusive and reflective of the developments of Malaysia's financial reporting system.

It also proposes to reduce the foundation membership from 19 to 12 to improve efficiency.

The proposed amendment also seeks to allow the Securities Commission and Bank Negara to modify accounting standards to ensure financial stability.

Gabenor Bank Terbaik Di Dunia Menidakan Ramalan Ekonomi Anwar

Manakala, Najib cuma mengatakan RM233.92 bilion sahaja.". Sekarang bagaimana pula Gabenor Bank Negara sendiri mengeluar kenyataan:

HUTANG NEGARA HANYA 2% KDNK NEGARA

Massa.

Merdeka Online
