RG2011... UAE, Dubai

good

After a two-week trip to Europe warm, returning back to Russia, it was decided to escape to somewhere else, preferably in warmer climes. Assembled a team which included amister_marat and dedmaxopka it was decided to fly to the United Arab Emirates and the largest city of Dubai. About UAE and Dubai in general, I knew only that it is the tallest building in the world, there filming Mission Impossible 4 and there is a huge number of skyscrapers. The course is taken, the tickets are bought, collected things - fly. After two Week-Long Adventures over the Countries of Europe, and upon Returning back to Russia, IT was Decided to go Elsewhere, and preferably Somewhere Warm. Being Accompanied by Marat and Vadim, A Decision was Made to fly to The United Arab Emirates and ITS Biggest city of Dubai. The Only Things I Knew About the UAE is That IT Claimed to havethe World's Tallest Building, Mission Impossible 4 was filmed there, and it was home to countless amounts of Skyscrapers. Destination The set was, Were Purchased Tickets, Bags werepacked - We Were Ready for Take-off.

1. Our first roof with views of the tallest building in the world "Burj Khalifa". / Our first rooftop with a view of the world's tallest building, "Burj Khalifa". 2. I am against the apartment complex Etihad. Photo dedmaxopka / Myself with A residential Complex, Etihad, in the background. Photo by dedmaxopka 3. European two-fillipinkami resting on the roof of one of the hotels. / A European guy with two Philippine Girls relaxing on the roof of one of the hotels. turned out that the climb to the roof in Dubai easily enough. The main thing to pass the reception at the entrance to the building, and upstairs you are likely to find an open door to the roof. A lot of roofs with swimming pools, lookouts for the guests and a helipad. It makes no sense to close the roof of the castle, because very few people would think of jumping down, hang a poster or opposition to sit down with a sniper rifle. The standard of living in Dubai is quite high, so people live in peace and not paranoia. There is one small problem in the ascent to the top of the hotel - the elevators on the cards, that is, is when you press on the button of the upper floors, the elevator does not go. Here, you need to wait or tenants and go with them, or to stand in a closed elevator, while you will not cause anyone to the upper floors. Incidentally, reception and security in hotels and apartment complexes are not collected from bydlanov, as happens in Russia, and of cultural and polite people. For example, we went to a hotel, went into the elevator, and he was on the card. The doors closed, we froze, wondering what to do. Stood for 30 seconds, lift and concierge called wordless, smiling, bowed and ran for the door. was another case where we have caught at the exit to the roof. It was in the tallest residential building in the world - Princess Tower (yes, like in Dubai, the tallest and biggest). "I apologize, but you have to go down with me" - said the guard. Next we found out who we are and the purpose of our trip to the roof, was asked not from Russian mafia if we let go. Turns out, getting on the Rooftops in Dubai is fairly Easy. Just walk through the reception desk at the entrance, and at the top you will most likely find an open door to the roof. There are a lot of rooftops with pools, observation decks for the hotel guests, and helipads. It doesn't make sense to lock up the roofs there, because no one is going to get the idea to jump, hang an opposition banner, or sit out with a sniper rifle. The quality of life in Dubai is very High, and Due to That, and people calmly Live Without Paranoia. There is A Little problem with getting on the Rooftops of the Hotels Mainly Because Elevators run on the Digital Key cards; you can push the Button leading to the top floor but the elevatorwont go anyway without them. In this situation, Either you have to wait for the Residents and ride with Them, or Stand in an empty elevator waiting for Somebody to call IT to the Level above. Also, Reception, and Security Personnel in hotels and residentialcomplexes is not Made of douche bags unlike in RF, but of polite and respectful people. For example, we walked into one ofthe Hotels, and into a key card-type elevator. The doors closed, and we stood thinking to ourselves, "what are we going to do now". Passed 30 seconds, and the elevator was Called by the Receptionist, and Without A Word saying she Smiled, and Showed us the exit, Followed with A Bow. There was another time When We Got caught at the entrance to the Rooftop. It was at the world's tallest residential complex - Princess Tower (yes, in Dubai they love everything tallest and biggest). "My apologies, but you will have to follow me down" - said the security guard. Later they were questioning us on who we were and what the purpose was of our attempt to make it on the roof. They also asked if we are from the Russian Mafia, and let us go. 4. The most common transportation in the UAE looks impressive. / Even a regular highway intersections in the UAE look incredible. Dubai has very little themselves UAE nationals, immigrants there, as far as I've heard more than half. In Dubai mostly come to work from less affluent countries - India, Pakistan, the Philippines. And, despite this, in the UAE there are no nationalist, no one shouts "Dubai sheiks". All the flavor of the local population can be seen in the subway, which by the way there is also very modern. Embarkation and disembarkation of the cars at rush hour - it is something. Indians come in large numbers, accustomed that in overpopulated India they usually do not have enough seats in the wagons do not follow the rules of the passengers. Once the doors opened, a crowd of Indians fall down in the car, while not letting even vtalkivaya back people who want to get out at the station. Besides immigrants have more tourists, especially a lot of Russian tourists, who come in large numbers to purchase in Dubai Mall (the large mall on the planet) and look at the Burj Khalifa. It would seem that the tourists as the tourists, there are tourists everywhere! But our tourists the most special. We quickly come to recognize their faces, they have short, sometimes brooding and constantly sschurennye. But the most distinctive feature of many Russian tourists in Dubai that they feel at home, for example Russian tourist can only scream at his tongue in the UAE, "Two Tickets to Dubai Mall and back!" or "I told two of fries, you are a fool or what? I said two!".Dubai has very few Residents in the UAE. The immigrant population there is more than half from what I've heard. Visitors mostly come to Dubai from third-world countries - India, Pakistan, Philippines. Yet, there is no Nationalism; nobody is Yelling "for Dubai Sheikhs!" The diverse local population can be Seen on the subway system, Which, Speaking of, is very Modern.Loading and unloading of the trains during rush hour - is something else. All of the visiting Indians, who are used to such a lack of space in their overpopulated country, don't follow any rules of right of way for train unloading. As soon as the doors Open, They Rush into the Train Pushing back WHO Those are Trying to exit. In addition to the Immigrants, Also there are tourists. Themajority are Russians Come to Shop at the Dubai Mall (the Biggest Mall on the planet) and See the Burj Khalifa. It Would SEEM tourists are All-around tourists, but no, Russian tourists are Special! Very Quickly We Were Able to Recognize Them by their faces; tense, sometimes full of thoughts, and always squinting. But what makes them the most distinguishable, is that in Dubai they feel themselves at home. For example, only a Russian Tourist can demand in their own language in UAE: "Two tickets to the Dubai Mall and back!" Or "I said two fries! Are you stupid?! I said TWO! " All That is very disappointing, maybe Although the situation with tourists from Other Countries is the Same Way. 5. 6. Main thoroughfare Sheikh Zayed Road.To the left of the highway passes landline Dubai Metro was built in 2009. Regarding transport tempted to say that travel by taxi in Dubai is even more profitable than the subway, if you have three or four people. The city's main highway is the E 11, also known as "SheikhZayed Road". To the left of it lies Dubai's over-the-ground subway lane built in 2009. As Far as the transportation system Goes, I want to Say That it'scheaper to Travel by Taxi than the Subway if you have A Group of Three to four people. 7. Night view of the Burj Khalifa. / Night view on Burj Khalifa. in Dubai is very difficult to move around on foot, all rummaged everywhere because of the huge number of buildings, little walkways, huge highways that can not jump. The most optimal for peredzhvizheniya - a taxi, or at least the metro. All greens in Dubai - farmed, all the houses are built in the empty desert. In Dubai, you can not go by the handle or kissing (even tourists), but no one would ever make a Woman wear the burqa if she does not want to. Marat said that women in the UAE untouchables, with them, no one will talk and touch. But in fact we could not verify this, as we traveled by men. Overall, I have a lot of impressions of the city, a lot that I find it surprising and unusual, with regards to the way of life. Dubai In IT is very Difficult to Travel by Foot. Everything is closed off due to the large amount of construction, very few crosswalks, and really wide highways, which are impossible to make across. The Most OPTIMAL Means of transportation is the Taxi, and the Subway System as A Last Resort. The city of Dubai was Built in the Bare Desert, so All the green trees in Dubai are Artificially Planted. It is not allowed to hold hands or kiss in public (even for the tourists), but no one will ever make a female wear hijab, unless she chooses to wear it herself. Marat said that in UAE women are untouchable; no one will try talking to them or touchingthem. We did not make any to Get Attempts to, so All of Our Adventures Were in an All-male company. Overall, I have A lot of good impressions from the city; Things Seemed many unusual and interesting Regarding the ways of Their life. 8. The next day we moved into the financial center of the city, it's pretty small, but there is a huge pile of buildings over 300 meters. / On the Second Day We Went to the Financial District, Which is fairly Small, but has A lot of Buildings 300 meters (~ 980 feet) and taller. 9.On some of them we have no problem to climb, it's kind of like a 5 star hotel, alas, can not remember the name of. / Without any problems We even Got to go up on A few of Them. For example, a five star hotel, but sadly, I don't remember its name. 10. 11. 12. 13. The white building with a spire - is the first skyscraper in the United Arab Emirates. On the horizon, so you can see the Sharjah, the neighboring emirate is located 20 kilometers from Dubai. / The Building with the White Spire is UAE's first skyscraper. On the horizon you can see Sharjah, a neighboring emirate 20 kilometers away from Dubai. 14. UAE is mostly desert, so that if you turn your head 180 degrees from the high-rises, the scenery will be the. / UAE is Mostly Desert, so if you Turn your head 180 degrees away from the skyscrapers, the landscape will look like this. 15 . View from the neighboring high-rises. Here, under the roofs we met a very friendly Indians, who by their silence allowed us to rise to the top. / A View from A nearby Building. Here we met some very friendly Indian people, with their silence they allowed us to go all the way up-top. 16. 17. 18. The roof of the hotel Adress. It offers perhaps the best view of the Burj Khalifa and fountain show. / "Address Hotel" Rooftop. From here opens up probably the best view on Burj Khalifa and the fountain show. 19. The first fountain show begins in the evening, at 18:00 local time, and it takes about 3-5 minutes. They are repeated every 30 minutes. Honestly below this thing did not impress me at all, but the top looks amazing. / First Fountain Show Begins in the Evening, around 6pm, and Lasts 3-5 minutes. It repeats every 30 minutes. To be honest from the bottom it didn't impress me at all, but from the top it looks incredible! 20. Meet this cosmic joke called the Dubai Mal, and also is the largest pier in the world. Many tourists from Russia to the Emirates go just for the sake of it. We Vadim and Marat sometimes took more than an hour just for something to pass it on through and get to like the Burj Khalifa. / I'd like you to meet this "Cosmic thing", the name by Dubai Mall, Which happens to be World's Biggest Mall. Many Russian tourists come to Emirates just to shop here. Sometimes it would take Vadim, Marat, and I more than an hour just to walk through the mall to exit to the Burj Khalifa. 21. Residential block Etihad, night version. / Residential district Etihad, night version. 22.Financial center. / Financial District. 23. 24. In one of the last days we went to perhaps the most interesting place in the UAE. This residential area Dubai Marina. Such a huge number of steep and beautiful skyscrapers on one square kilometer I have never seen. / Closer to the Last days, We Went to Possibly one of the Most interesting places in UAE. Residential District Dubai Marina. I have not seen so many awesome and beautiful skyscrapers within a single square kilometer anywhere else. 25. mister_marat 26. Dancing skyscraper. By the way, in MIBC "Moscow-City" build the exact same project, only about 100 meters below. It is called the Tower of Evolution. / Dancing Skyscraper. By the way, Moscow International Business Center is building the same project, except 100 meters shorter. The tower is called Evolution. 27. Channel Dubai Marina. / Dubai Marina Channel 28. 29. Palm Jumeirah. / The Palm Jumeirah Island.30. In the background is one of the most expensive hotels in the world - Atlantis. / In the background on of the world's most expensive hotels - Atlantis. 31. This is also one of the most expensive hotels in the world. Burj al-Arab. They say all the rooms are two-storey and each room comes equipped with a personal concierge. / Another Hotel from the list of the Most expensive Stays, BurjAl Arab Hotel. I heard all of the suites are two floors, and have their own personal concierge. 32. Drop zone for paratroopers. / Skydiver's Drop Zone. 33. Speaking of sunsets and mode of time. In Dubai, it gets dark much earlier than ours and the modal time short enough for 20 minutes of time to darken completely. / Also, about the sunsets and the golden hour. In Dubai it gets darker a lot earlier than in Moscow, and the golden hour is much shorter, in about 20 minutes everything goes dark. 34. 35. 36. 37. 38. On the horizon you can see the financial center. / Financial Center on the horizon. 39. On the last day, we left the Burj Khalifa. The hope was to try somehow to climb inside the steeple, but how to get inside to the fire stairs we did not. Inside Khalifa, we probably would not have let him go, because the guys were in shorts and sneakers, and I was not wearing a jacket. So we decided to try to climb up to the lookout. / We left Burj Khalifa on the Last Day. We had hoped to attempt to climb on to the spire from the inside, but had no clue how to get to the fire escape ladders. There was a slim chance that we would be let inside of the building; the guys were wearing shorts, and I had no suit. We decided to try to go from the observation deck. 40. 41. The observation we have come up before dawn, it's not for something to photograph the sunrise, but simply because the tickets early in the morning there are 4 times cheaper. / We Got to the Observation deck well before sunrise, not for the purpose of photography , but because the tickets cost 4 times less during the morning times. 42. Dawn. / Sunrise. 43. 44. As you have seen, with a viewing, we also could not get up, still a local security system is quite well thought out. Or maybe we just got unlucky. / As you guessed Probably, We did not make IT to the top of the Spire. The local security systems were too well thought out. Or it could be that we simply didn't get lucky. 45. 46. 47. Thus ended Dubai. / And this is the end of Dubai. Special thanks for translate Dmitriy Baglay .
