Sedans under RM100,000
Recently, with Asia slowly but surely recovering from the global economic downturn, the demand for cars has started to raise. Many car companies are starting to record massive increases in sales figures while others have managed to maintain relatively acceptable ones. The fact of the matter is many people are now in the market for a family car to replace the workhorse that they have used to ride the storm that has plagued even developed nations. So, to make their search a whole lot easier, we have compiled a list of five sedans below RM 100,000 that are worth a look. You can by them new but you could just as easily find one on Motor Trader.

Hyundai Elantra
Engine: 1.6L MPI GAMMA (Manual)
Starting Price: RM 88, 901.50
Boot space: 485 litres
Unlike most manufactures in this segment, Hyundai are offering the Elantra with a manual transmission. Its good to know that the Korean automaker believes that there are purists out there that want to do their own shifting. As of late, Hyundai cars have been better specced than their Japanese rivals, equipped with ESP and a parking assistance system, buying an Elantra is money well spent.

Toyota Vios
Engine: 1.5L DOHC VVT-i (1.5J MT)
Starting Price: RM 72,417.00
Boot space: 475 litres
Toyota has proven time and time again that every car of theirs is a testament to Japanese reliability. Though the car is considered one of the least advanced vehicles in its segment, the Vios makes up for the deficit by offering reliability and low cost of ownership. Being a Toyota, not only is it easy on the wallet, but also spare parts are aplenty not that you'll need to swap parts very often.

Nissan Almera
Engine: 1.5L DOHC CVTC
Starting Price: RM 66,813.50 (manual)
Boot space: 490 litres
A descendant of the Nissan Sunny 120Y, the Almera looks set to carry on the legacy of its grandfather. Providing just the essentials, Nissan is offering its customers a car that has less so that there is less to go wrong. Having a lively 1.5-litre engine and a manual transmission is bound to reduce fuel consumption but working in tandem they offer a rewarding driving experience too.

For Kia and Chevy, there should be something wrong to be in the best B/C segments here. As owners of Kia Spectra and Chevy Optra before, plastics turned to dust after 5 years, timing belts cost a bomb to replace, air conds kaput after 3 years, water hoses leaked after 2 years, fuel consumptions like #$%$. Stay away from Korean cars or GM labelled Korean car, you will regret if you bought one.
