The drama 'Cut Amirah' starts with the background of the 2004 tsunami in AcHeh, progressing to the year 2011. It revolves around the love story and agony of an orphan, Cut Amirah, an Acheh origin, who lost her whole family due to the tsunami which occurred on the very frightful evening at 4pm, 24 December 2004. The tsunami came carrying a horrifying 9 Richter magnitude scale. Cut Amirah's second cousin, Fauzy, a Singaporean happened to visit Cut Amirah when the disaster took place. Fauzy and his parents became the victim of tsunami too. Although Fauzy and his mum were fortunate to survive the disaster, Cut Amirah lost her mother. Before she died, Cut Amirah's mother asked Fauzy to search and take good care of her if they found her.
