Inductive amplifier adalah sejenis alat menguji pendawaian elektrik yang digunakan oleh juru elektrik bagi mengesan masalah kepada pendawaian dan kabel elektrik. Ia adalah alat tanpa memerlukan bateri untuk mengesan wayar elektrik yang terputus walaupun ditanam di dalam dinding simen. Cara ia mengesan adalah dengan menguatkan medan elektronik disekitar wayar atau alatan elektrik dan alat ini akan menukarkan ia dengan terus memberikan bacaan kepada penggunanya.
Dalam kes yang melibatkan kecurian komputer riba. Alat ini digunakan untuk mengesan medan elektronik yang dihasilkan oleh komputer riba. Komputer riba masih boleh dikesan miskipun disembunyi dalam bonet kereta atau dibawah tempat duduk kereta kerana kesan medan elektronik ini.
Perkara paling baik adalah dengan membawa komputer riba bersama ke mana jua. Jika anda terpaksa tinggalkan ia di dalam kereta, pastikan anda mencabut bateri komputer riba anda dan letakkan ianya berjauhan dan bukan dalam satu ruang. Namun begitu mencabut bateri komputer riba masih belum terbukti ianya cara yang baik dan berkesan. Ianya adalah satu usaha untuk mengurangkan kesan medan elektronik.

Inductive amplifier
In electric industries, an inductive amplifier is a type of electrical tester pen that does not require DC electrical contact to detect an AC wire under voltage.
The conventional use of the inductive amplifier is the location of breaks in hidden wires, even buried in concrete. The typical wire detection range in a concrete wall is 10-20 cm. One of the manufacturers of the inductive amplifier is Tempo.[1]
Inductive amplifiers can also be used to find an individual cable pair in a telephone cross connect or cable head when used in conjunction with a tone generator.[2]
