World Press Photo - one of the most prestigious international photography contest. WPP has a lot of nominations, including "Sports", "Art," "Everyday Life", "News Photos", "Portrait," "Nature". These awards are awarded to three photographers (from first to third place) in two subnominatsiyah - photo essay and a photo. Key nomination contest - a "photo of the year."
Photo Contest Winners «World Press Photo Contest 2010" were announced on February 11, 2011. Organizers say this year they sent a record number of photos - 108 059. The competition was attended by 5,847 photographers of 125 nationalities.
The winners in many categories of competition World Press Photo (WPP) for 2010 were photographs, which depict human tragedy, death and violence, the jury finds that these photos - but a reflection of the past year, in which there were many unfortunate events, including earthquakes Haiti, floods in Pakistan and volcanic eruptions.
