The Hyundai Grand Starex Royale is now bolder and better. As their tagline suggest, New Thinking New Possibilities, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors have a super sized MPV that is indeed more versatile, bolder, feature filled, and styled better to give the grey imports a run for their money. The Starex is fairly much the same in terms of drive and handling but the new features that went in it, makes this MPV so much more enjoyable than before.

The Grand Starex Royale is coupled now with new added features that have a better grasp of what the market desires. Coming in new Nappa Leather ( Premium Edition only ) with a nicer tone to be more resilient to stains and dirt, it adds a different meaning to the word bold on a Starex MPV. The seat colors are of a brown shade which emulates some of the luxury car marquees out there. Taking the MPV a step higher, the 2nd row seats can now swivel 180 degrees and face the back passengers. This is a really cool feature that was forgotten by most manufacturers and the last known vehicle that had that was the earlier batch of Toyota Estimas. Why remove something that was great? That is why the engineers in Hyundai are making sure that their MPV stands out now from the rest.

Now the Grand Starex Royale comes with a built in GPS in the centre console, a good feature that comes with a slot for an SD card directly. On the exterior portion of the vehicle, a new integrated look is now apparent with its new grille and bumper. To add to the front aggressive stance at the front, a new side skirting is added to the side profile of the MPV. Concaved inwards to the profile of the car, it does make the MPV look different somehow. Even a new rear bumper has been added to have the car profile look lower and more aggressive. To enhance and finish the new exterior look, new rims and a new rear spoiler has been added to the Grand Starex Royale. The new Starex has DRL, or also known as Daylight Running Lights on its side mirrors.

The Grand Starex Royale is the biggest in its class, and considering that the price is so affordable compared to some other luxury MPVs, their latest feature of the automatic sliding doors would move it up the ranks. Previous models of the Starex did not have the automated doors, a much desired feature that was important for large sized MPVs. Huge sliding doors do not help ease of getting into and out of the MPVs. Now with automated sliding doors, the car is so much more enjoyable for the rear passengers.

Priced at RM153,888 for the Grand Starex Royale & RM165,888 for the Premium edition, available in 4 different colors of Crystal White, Sleek Silver, Stone Black and Carbon Grey. Coupled with a 5 year warranty on the Starex with a 300,000km mileage limit, the car has won numerous awards and it goes to show Hyundai's commitment into creating a bigger and better MPV.
