Johor kidnapping just a ploy by irresponsible student

With police alerting their officers along the route of an alleged human trafficking case heading to Thailand, latest information confirms that it was all a story orchestrated by an irresponsible student.
Earlier today, a police source from Dungun, Terengganu confirmed with The Rakyat Post that a Polytechnic Ibrahim Sultan (PIS) student lodged a police report alleging she had been kidnapped in Johor and was going to be taken to Thailand.
PIS Pasir Gudang, where the student is studying for a Diploma in Fashion Design, via its student affairs officer Abdul Razak Salim, had also earlier confirmed to Bernama that the student had been abducted by unknown individuals outside her house in Taman Scientex, Johor Baru, last night.
However, it has been revealed tonight that the kidnapping plot was concocted by the student, originally from Kuala Lumpur, after failing to complete her assignments at the polytechnic.According to a police source, it was learned during interrogation that the student was facing problems with the polytechnic because she was not able to complete her assignments.
This led her to board a bus to Dungun and create the kidnapping plot.
The Rakyat Post learned that she had left her house, leaving behind her motorcycle keys, books, bag and wallet on her motorcycle that was parked outside the house.
She then took a cab to Larkin carrying two handphones and some cash, after which she paid a bus driver RM40 to board a bus to Dungun without purchasing a ticket.
On the bus, she switched off her mobile network, leaving only the mobile data online, and had along the way, sent Whatsapp messages to two of her friends saying she was kidnapped.
The student arrived in Dungun at about 7.55am at a bus station near Dungun Hospital and called her mother detailing her kidnapping.
Her mother urged her to lodge a police report to which she agreed and was then taken to the Dungun police headquarters by a man who had stopped to buy newspaper at the bus station.
According to the source, the student, in finally admitting to police that her entire story was made up, claimed that she had been stressed and confused with the pressures of studying fashion design at the polytechnic.
She said she had created the kidnapping story in hopes she could delay submitting her assignments, claiming that she had only intended to lie to her parents and friends, but after her mother insisted she lodge a report, she had to involve the police.
It was reported this morning that the student had claimed she was transported, along with several other victims, in a white "ice-truck-looking" lorry.
She then claimed to have escaped when the vehicle stopped to refuel at an Esso petrol station at 7.05 this morning.
Following her escape, the student lodged a report at the Dungun police headquarters, divulging information on the other kidnapped children, who she claimed were all from Johor Baru, of various races, with the youngest said to be 5 years old.
According to the student, there were three suspects involved, all men believed to be from Kelantan, with one dressed in red.
