An estimated 25% of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)consumers in Peninsular Malaysia will pay a levy of 1% out of their total electricity bills starting Dec 1.
This will follow the launch of the Government's Feed-in Tariff (FiT) system for the development of renewable energy next month.
Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin said Tuesday that electricity consumers will contribute 1% of their total electricity tariff bills issued by TNB to the Renewable Energy Fund if they use more than 300kWh of electricity per month.
"Nonetheless, 75% of TNB's customers who consume less than 300kWh per month will be exempted from contributing to this fund," Chin told a press conference here.

Aku dah tengok bil elektrik aku lepas baca neh. Dahulu = 8674. Semasa = 8852. Jadi apa? Adakah aku termasuk dalam senarai yang kena bayar levi 1%? Yang sebenarnya selepas aku baca pasal penipuan tnb di facebook, pendedahan oleh rakan2 saya benci harga barang naik, baru aku pasan bil bulanan aku memang naik walhal aku sepatutnya masuk ke dalam kelompok yang tidak akan terkesan dengan kenaikkan elektrik tahun lepas.
Aku selalunya memang tak amek port pasal bil elektrik. Pasal aku tak perlu bayar bil2 neh. Lainlah bil baju baru ka, seluar baru ka, hp baru ka, barulah aku sibuk2 nak pening untuk fikirkan. Heh.
Then ada satu hari tue bil elektrik sampai dan aku pula memang ada di rumah. So aku amek, baca dan banding dengan bil2 elektrik yang lama. Hasilnya aku dapati ;
1. Bil bulan 1 - 3 = rm20 - rm25.00
2. Bil bulan 4 - 10 = rm35 - 38.00
Aik? Apsal hah? Kenapa berlaku kenaikan neh? Hairan aku. Sekarang neh kerajaan pongpang letak levi bodoh 1% neh pula. Lagi gila. Nak guna elektrik pun kena levi? Babi lue. Sorry. Babi, sorry. Aku tahu ko tidak merompak, mencuri, merasuah, menyeleweng tapi entah kenapa aku tetap nak membabikan umno.
Semakin jahanam duduk di bawah umno. Samada rakyat yang mampos ataupun umno yang mampos. Sila la pilih salah satu wahai pengundi. Apa pun pilihan korang jangan lah sampai susahkan rakyat macam aku. Kalau perlu malaysia neh berpecah kepada dua macam korea pun aku sanggup asal bukan duduk bawah umno lagi.
Dorang semakin zalim. Dan aku pula tidak rela "senyum tak perlu kata apa2" dengan dizalimi setiap masa. Sorry. Bian. Aku betul2 tak rela. Berpecah mungkin lebih bagos. Satu di bawah bn. Satu di bawah pr. Dan kita banding siapa yang lebih bagos. Masa tue nanti jangan pula pengundi bn lari merempat ke bumi pengundi pr. Bai.
